Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

The COI Student Voices Committee works to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion for all COI students regardless of identity (e.g. race, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, ability, age, immigration status, or socioeconomic status). Furthermore, our space provides a platform for COI students to address any relevant factors that may shape their success within our program (e.g. academic curriculum, program requirements, relationships with faculty mentors, toxic work culture, or work-life balance). We provide a safe space where COI students can exercise their collective voice to address persistent threats to student well-being that stem from any of the aforementioned issues. The committee aims to hold faculty, administration, and fellow students accountable for addressing these concerns and meeting student demands through actionable items that will be advised by and reflect the needs of our students.
